England v Ukraine match shown only via internet

The World Cup Qualifier England v Ukraine will be shown to English football fans by internet only. A decision which can only be described as poor form. The idea of the World Cup is to attract new fans to the game of football / soccer. The idea of showing the game on the internet was not thought out too well as expats outside of the UK will be pretty much following the game via text updates.

We are not knocking the idea of showing the game on the internet and we think it is a great step as in the near future you will see a majority of games on the internet. The problem is that if you are not in a jurisdiction (IP address location) allowed to watch the game you are unable to watch the game and that is not just not football.

The website www.ukrainevengland.com will reward the early birds by charging £4.99 to watch the game. The price will increase £9.99 for Thursday and Friday. Then on Saturday the price will jump again to £11.99.

Our recommendation is subscribe now rather than waiting for the last minute to make your mind up whether you will subscribe. We also recommend to get a few mates together at someone’s house connect the Laptop to your TV and watch the game. If this is too much effort head towards your local Odeon cinema as the game will not be showing at Pubs.

Let us know what you think of this decision?
