Barclay’s Premier League Matches in London this weekend

by Londonsportsbetting.co.uk on November 25, 2009

What a great London weekend for football. Although every weekend is great for footy, this one includes what is bound to be one quite exceptional matchup and two other matches with teams that are hungry for wins.

First up: Chelsea vs. Arsenal. Chelsea is champing at the bit to bring the championship back home after losing to Man U the last couple of seasons and they’re leaving a trail of devastation behind them in their drive for the top spot. They’re currently at number one, but Arsenal is not far behind them. In fact, Arsenal has more goals than Chelsea this year, with 36 to Arsenal’s 29.  Chelsea are favourites to win against Arsenal but with Arsenal unpredictability and this game being Paddy Power’s Money back specials it will be well advised to place a wager on Arsenal.  The last time these teams meet Chelsea flogged Arsenal and this loss will be in the back of the Arsenal players.

This is sure to be one of the great matches of the London sporting season. Keep in mind that Kieran Gibbs has been sent for a precautionary X-ray on his ankle and will miss the match.

When Fulham takes on Bolton this Saturday, it’ll be anyone’s game as the two teams are fairly evenly matched this year. Last time out of the gate, Fulham matched Wigan evenly to a 1-1 tie, and the last time Bolton won was against Everton back in October.  In the last few head to head matches of these two teams Fulham has the better record.

Hopefully the West Ham players won’t be too distracted by images of Katy Perry wearing lingerie fashioned after their uniform to show up for their match against Burnley on Saturday. Something has been distracting them enough this year to have them positioned at the third from the bottom spot. West ham has the better win ratio against Burnley but 2009 has been a season of  breaking records so watch out for Burnley.
