The hand of god remake – Did Henry do justice to the original version

by Londonsportsbetting.co.uk on November 19, 2009

We don’t usually comment on sporting events outside of London but yesterday’s World Cup qualifier for South Africa game Ireland v France just made us want to write about. Here are the facts we know

  • Henry has admitted that he did handball the ball that gave William Gallas the goal that put France into the World Cup final.
  • The ref was way out of position
  • The Irish players were very unhappy with the decision

There has plenty of reactions on all the a major news websites that Ireland were robbed of a place in the final.  We have video footage of the incident that gave the French victory and we have a poll and we will let you decide if it was handball.  I am going to say that it was a handball to kick off the voting.

I imagine no end of people will support the ref’s decision on this one. If they are incapable of distinguishing football from basketball! But the French fans are entitled to feel almost as robbed as the Irish, when you see how unfair these odds they were offered were http://tiny.cc/JTvyE
